How often do you and your family use your couch? After speaking with several of our customers, we find that couches are generally used more often than what you’d first expect. Whether or not it’s the kids eating the cereal in the mornings, hanging out with bubba during the day or getting into your groove before a Netflix binge, our couch is always there for us.
With all this movement happening from various family members plus the occasional food or drink spill, it’s no wonder how these surfaces can become dirty. If you’re like most of our customers, as soon as a spill happens, you’ll run to the kitchen, grab a damp cloth and then try dabbing the spill in a desperate hope that everything will be absorbed into the cloth and leave the couch looking stain free … if you’re also anything like our other customers, you’ll generally be left with a big stain.
Stain after stain
As soon as our couches have been tainted, and the first stain appears, we tend to make the sub-conscious decision to think that nothing can be done and so our defences drop and other stains begin popping up. If this sounds like you, it’s important to know that there’s (usually) always something that can be done!
Getting your money’s worth
Couches don’t usually come cheap, so if you’ve invested the money in having this piece of furniture that’s at the centre of your family’s daily routines, then it’d be great for it to retain its near-new appearance. Afterall, we make these investments so they can stay with us for a long time – don’t fall into the trap of needing to throw away old furniture just because it’s been riddled with stains, there’s always an opportunity to make it look better.
Professional steam cleaning
With professional steam cleaning services, you can be optimistic in thinking that if not all, most of the stains from your upholstery (lounges, sofa, couches, mattresses) can be removed. Through the process of hot water extraction, which involves using extremely hot water being injected into the material and then sucked out with a high-powered vacuum, it’s been proven to be one of the most effective (and family-safe) ways to remove stains.
If you find yourself having a few stubborn stains that need attending to, feel free to reach out to one of our cleaning professionals today to see how we can help.
